Utila/Roatan |

During the first two weeks of April, I joined with approximately forty members of the Lexington "Bluegrass Dive Club" for a trip to Utila and Roatan, two islands off the coast of Honduras. Utila was somewhat unique, in that it is very undeveloped and the single settlement is full of young adults having an extended vacation. I suspect it would be best described as a cross between backpackers & hippies. They seem to be having a lot of fun partying. We had hoped to spot a Whale Shark while on Utila, but we were unsuccessful, which is okay because the scuba diving and fellowship was excellent. I was successful in obtaining a good "tan", and I am sure my dermatologist will be soooo proud of me.
